Esta canción aparece en el álbum "13" y fue lanzada en el 1999. Según la revista "Rolling Stone", se encuentra dentro de las 5 favoritas de esta banda. Blur aquí experimentó con los coros góspel (palabra original es "GodSpell", que se traduce como <<Llamada de Dios>> o <<Historia de Dios>>), el cual estuvo presente en el concierto del pasado martes para interpretar esta canción.
Una de mis canciones favoritas, por tener justamente esa intensidad del gospel y provoca corear una y otra vez liberando las emociones (cualesquiera que sean) del momento.
Datos:
- En la época en la que Graham Coxon abandonó el grupo, Albarn le pedía al público que cantara el estribillo "Oh my baby/oh my baby/ oh why / oh my" (esto se repitió en el concierto, al final de la canción, lo cual fue muy emotivo y algo que nunca olvidaré).
- La línea de "Tender is the night" hace referencia a la novela "Tender is the night" por F. Scott Fitzgerald.
- La canción fue escrita por David y Graham, basados aparentemente en la relación tormentosa que tuvo David con Justin Frischmann de la banda Elastica.
- En 23 de marzo del 2013, Blur interpretó esta canción con su ex-rival Noel Gallagher, este milagro se debió a un concierto benéfico de la fundación Teenage Cancer Trust.
